basICColor gray card is very versatile control tool.
In digital photography the basICColor gray card can be used for white balancing a digital camera and as a digital exposure meter.
In combination with the Color Solutions desktop backgroud files it can be used for checking your monitor calibration and for adjusting the luminance of your viewing booth (if dimmable)
Combined with a spectrophotometer , ambient light can easily be measured.

Because of its spectral remission properties, basICColor gray card is nearly free of metameric failure. The color shift under different lightning remains way under the treshold of visual perception. Or, in brief, basICColor gray card looks the same under all viewing conditions: gray without any color cast.
